• Remove the affected topcoat and contaminated layers if necessary.
• Apply an appropriate sealer coat to block stain migration.
• Recoat using a compatible system with low solvent strength.
• Ensure the underlying coat is fully cured before topcoat application.
3. Corrective Action / Prevention:
• Use correct and compatible coating specifications and materials.
• Apply effective sealer coats over sensitive or bituminous surfaces.
• Avoid strong solvent-based topcoats directly over soluble materials.
